Abstract: This article discusses the role of the social worker in the Social Assistance Policy, seeking a critical reflection on the possibilities of implementing the political ethics of the profession design, evaluating the limits and potentialities within an environment marked by the ideology capitalist.For this we intend to analyze a specific workspace professional, Social Duty, unveiling their instrumentality action alternatives and the possibilities of contributing to realization of the rights of the trainees.The base analysis Social Duty in the municipality of Ponte Nova-MG, located in the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais.
