Generation and Proteomic Characterization of a Neural Stem Cell Model Based on Maternal Immune Activayion (mia) to Be Applied in Psychopharmacology Research
Year: 2023
Type: article
Abstract: There are several animal models of mental disorders with developmental etiologies such as autism, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder based on the maternal immune activation (MIA) during pregnancy. Here we describe the generation of neural progenitor cell lines derived from fetuses carried by pregnant mice treated with Poly I:C in order to evoke a viral-like immunogenic response along with their corresponding saline controls. Subsequent characterization of these cell lines were performed by proteomics.
