Abstract: In the subjects of architecture and urban design in the second year of the School of Architecture of Reus, the different scales are integrated, going through all the architectural matters imaginable, we believe it is necessary to use new pedagogical tools to escape from the idea of a linear design with a beginning and an end. In this sense, we see the need to carefully design the progress of complete and motivating exercises, basing their learning on two major teaching methodologies: the first, the hand as a direct expression of thought, by means of an iterative process at various scales of which we carry out "rehearsals"; and the second, which aims, through theoretical classes, to convey a broad artistic and architectural culture related to the process, a multifaceted but deeply careful teaching which, due to its thematic concreteness, we have named "tutorials". In this communication we wish to share our experience focused on the use of both methodologies.
