Abstract: The Global Supply Chain Pressure Index (GSCPI), devised by the New York Federal Reserve, serves as an indicator of global supply chain conditions by amalgamating data on transportation costs and manufacturing.A value of zero denotes average conditions, positive values signify heightened pressures (representing deviations above the average), and negative values indicate reduced pressures. For a comprehensive understanding of GSCPI, see Benigno et al. (2022).Additionally, the Covid-19 stringency index, ranging from 0 to 100 (with 100 representing the strictest measures), encompasses 9 metrics to gauge the extent of restrictions imposed during the pandemic.
