Abstract: The investment process is a complex issue that requires coordination of many activities.The issues that should be taken into account concern both technical issues resulting from the construction of buildings, the selection of design solutions, as well as legal activities related to obtaining decisions and permits for the investment, enabling its realization.All the above elements must be included in the time and budget specified by the investor.Issues related to the proper communication of construction projects are unfortunately quite often ignored or neglected by investors and designers.At the same time, this component of the investment process, may constitute an element carrying additional financial costs while implementing facilities generating significant car traffic.It may involve the need to build a new road system to enable access or to reconstruct the existing one.The implementation of each investment requires a thorough analysis in terms of the impact of the traffic generated by the planned facility on the surrounding road system.A good example that shows the complexity and, at the same time, the importance of the issues discussed is the process of reconstruction of a public road discussed in this work caused by a private investment, based on the example of the construction of a service and commercial facility in Bielsko-Biala.
