Abstract: This article analyzes the impact of high-demand hospital environments on the mental health of nursing professionals. Based on recent literature and public health research data, it seeks to understand the factors contributing to the psychological distress of these workers, including workload, exhausting shifts, resource shortages, institutional invisibility, and emotional exhaustion. The article argues for the urgent need for institutional policies that foster care for caregivers, with strategies for listening, support, and promotion of psychological well-being in the workplace.
