Abstract: Geographic Information Technologies has marked in fluvial geomorphology a change in the analysis of processes and classifications (versatility and precise and fast information). Characterization and reach-making of fluvial network is based on valley geomorphology and channel slope and morphology. The method is explained with an example (Cabe river, Lugo, Spain), with 14 hydromorphological types and a dominance of alluvial sinuous channels in valleys of moderate confinement and wide valley-floor.
