Abstract: This paper shows several experimental result of the damping characteristic making use of the Concrete Beam. And the following conclusions were obtained. First, for reduction of vibration, the damping is more effective than the mass and the stiffness is increased. Second, the effect of the damping can be predicted using FEM analysis. Last, in the range of this experiment, the loss factor of the system dose not depend on the exciting force power to the concrete beam.
