Abstract: Edited volumes like Psychoanalysis and History can sometimes feel haphazard, with individual chapters by different authors desultorily thrown together. This book, however, for the most part succeeds on two criteria: the intrinsic fascination we feel about each chapter’s subject and the distinct level of quality of each individual chapter.
