Structured Analysis Modes: A Proposal for an Architectural Extension to Large Language Models

Abstract: This article argues for extending standard LLM interfaces with 'Structured Analysis Modes' to enable the use of external architectural protocols. Using the FAIR-DO protocol as a case study, it demonstrates how this addresses LLMs' 'methodological blindness'. The paper provides a concrete technical specification for the feature and discusses key implementation considerations.
