Abstract: Há numerosas referências a Camões nas obras de Saramago. Estas são referências intertextuais (sobretudo a Os Lusíadas), mas também referências ao valor simbólico e mítico atribuído à figura do autor quinhentista e à sua obra ao longo dos séculos. Ao examinar a peça Que farei com este livro?, assim como outros textos marcados pela presença camoniana, o presente estudo tenciona abordar a representação do grande poeta épico que nos foi transmitida pelo Nobel português. There are several references to Camões in Saramago's writings. These are intertextual references (especially to The Lusiads), but also references to the symbolic and mythical status attributed to the 16th-century author and to his works over the centuries. By examining the play Que farei com este livro? as well as other texts marked by the Camões presence, the paper intends to approach the representation of the great epic poet in Saramago’s works.
