Abstract: Fetus papyraceus is a rare complication of multiple gestation pregnancies, characterized by the presence of a mummified and compressed fetus that results from the intrauterine death of one twin. The deceased fetus becomes flattened between the membranes of the surviving twin and the uterine wall. The primary goal in such cases is to ensure the well-being of the surviving fetus while safeguarding maternal health through careful and continuous monitoring. We report a case of a primigravida with a dichorionic diamniotic (DCDA) twin pregnancy conceived by in vitro fertilization (IVF), who was registered, immunized, and under complete antenatal care (ANC) follow-up, that delivered one viable fetus and one fetus papyraceus.
