Type: article
Abstract: In addressing the issues of neglecting the frequency response characteristics of source-side equipment and the limited economic performance and flexibility of conventional model predictive control (MPC) in microgrid scheduling, this paper proposes a Source-Load matching power-signal decomposition method and an optimized dispatch strategy based on Dual-mode economic model predictive control (EMPC). First, Gaussian frequency-response functions are employed to quantify the frequency response characteristics of source-side equipment, and a matching degree indicator is introduced to achieve high and low-frequency decomposition of source-load matching. Subsequently, a Dual-mode EMPC algorithm is designed: Mode1 minimizes operating cost, whereas Mode2 minimizes the Euclidean distance between the real-time control action and the offline controller to ensure system stability and power balance. Case studies demonstrate that the proposed Source–Load matching decomposition method can provide target power more suitable for microgrid frequency-division optimization dispatch, and the microgrid optimization dispatch strategy based the Dual-mode EMPC significantly enhances the economic efficiency and operational flexibility of the microgrid.
