Outcome: Upon admission, the patient was managed with nil per os (NPO), plasmapheresis, and supplemental insulin. Medications administered included fenofibrate, ulinastatin, latamoxef (moxalactam), and the traditional Chinese medicine Mirabilite (Glauber's salt).
