Abstract: Polymorphous low-grade neuroepithelial tumor of the young ( PLNTY ) is a known low-grade neuroepithelial tumor which is often encountered in children and young adults. We report a case of PLNTY in which the removal of tumor resulted in resolution of refractory epilepsy. The patient was a 27-year-old male who was treated with anti-epileptic drugs for generalized seizures, but his symptoms did not improve. Head CT scan revealed a lesion with calcification in the right temporal lobe. Surgical resection of the tumor was performed. The tumor had the presence of oligodendroglioma-like cellular components, intense CD34 immunopositivity, calcification, and did not have IDH1 mutations or 1p/19q co-deletions. The diagnosis was PLNTY. Epilepsy disappeared after surgery, and has not relapsed there after.
