Abstract: Nigeria strives to modernize its public institutions to increase their effectiveness and increase their capacity to deal with the challenges of offering its citizens effective services. For this reason, the main objective of the 2000 National Information Technology Strategy was to improve Nigerian governance. According to the policy document, Nigeria was anticipated to be a "capable country in Africa and a key player in the information society; using ICT as the means of running governments’ public institutions which would lead to improved accessibility, openness and transparency in government processes" by 2005. Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH) Gombe is one of the government organizations that manage the hospital's operations with 1CT. At Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe, the study was carried out to determine the effect of e-government on the provision of health services to the general population. Staff members were randomly sampled and interviewed. The majority of respondents agreed that e-government had a positive impact on their work at the hospital; very high percentages, ranging from 89.15% to 97.97%, gave positive answers (strongly agree and agree) to every question posed, compared to very low percentages (I.36 to 3.73 only) for negative answers (disagree and strongly disagree). Nevertheless, the results of the chi-square analysis showed that there is no meaningful correlation between ICT services and service delivery. Moreover, the use of ICT has no effect on patient trust or ease of access to health care delivery. It is recommended that the management of the hospital should consolidate on the existing little gains from the use of ICT in the delivery of services.
