Abstract: The following .csv file contains the participant data for the analyses conducted within the research study: - 'An exploratory network-based analysis of personal factors relevant for health interventions' Data is formatted in wide format. ----------------------------------- Dataset_EGA of Personal_factors.csv ----------------------------------- Data dictionary: The following .csv file contains the participant data used in the analyses conducted in the research study. Data is formatted in wide format. ----------------------------------- Data dictionary: Total_Duration_sec (time in seconds to complete the 2-day study) Sex_Bio (biological sex): 1 = Female; 2 = Male Education (Participant's education level): 1 = Less than high school; 2 = High school graduate; 3 = Some college; 4 = Undergraduate; 6 = Master's degree; 7 = Doctorate Hispanic (Whether participants are or not Hispanic): 1 = Yes; 0 = No; 2 =Prefer not to answer Race (Participant's self-reported race): 1 = Asian; 2 = Black, Afro-Caribbean, or African American; 3 = Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander; 4 = Native American or Alaskan Native; 5 = White/Caucasian; 6 = Other; 7 = Prefer not to answer Chronic_disease (Whether the participant reported having a chronic disease) 1 = With chronic disease; 0 = Without chronic disease Personal Factors scores: ETS = Treatment expectation RAQ = Research attitude PHLC = External locus of control DTQT = Desire thinking SSS = Suggestibility GSE = Generalized self-efficacy ADST = Hope LOTR = Optimism BRS = Resilience NEUR = Neuroticism STAI = Anxiety CONS = Conscientiousness IHLC = Internal locus of control Z_[Personal Factor]: Standardized z-score measures for each personal factor across the full sample. Z_STAI and Z_NEURO were reverse-scored prior to aggregation due to their negative valence, ensuring that higher scores consistently reflect greater positive functioning. Z_Community_1 Composite score calculated as the mean of standardized scores (z-scores) for personal factors belonging to Community 1(ETS, RAQ, PHLC, DTQT, SSS) Z_Community_2 Composite score calculated as the mean of standardized scores (z-scores) for personal factors belonging to Community 2 (GSE, ADST) Z_Community_3 Composite score calculated as the mean of standardized scores (z-scores) for personal factors belonging to Community 3 (LOTR, BRS, NEUR, STAI, CONS) Important: For details regarding specific questionnaire measures, citations, community assignments, and the rationale for excluding IHLC from standardization, please refer to the main manuscript.
