Abstract: Scientific literature by Bulgarian and foreign authors regarding the behavior and control of the green peach aphid Myzus persicae Sulzer (Hemiptera: Aphididae) in tobacco agrocenoses is reviewed. The direct and indirect damage caused to tobacco plants by M. persicae feeding activity is described. Various control methods are summarized from Bulgarian and foreign literature. Control options, methods, and strategies are presented. As a polyphagous pest, M. persicae poses a significant threat to tobacco, exhibiting exceptional plasticity, adaptability, and resistance to chemical plant protection products, complicating control efforts. Pest development and reproduction are directly influenced by climatic factors and conditions.
