Abstract: The microclimate condition of a small greenhouse inside a protected structure is affected by physical processes that involve heat and mass transfer. For the first time, a greenhouse model was developed using woven textile fabric. By measuring environmental factors and plant development characteristics, the polyester woven fabric can be established as a replacement for conventional poly film. The woven fabric results are compared with poly film (Reference) and open field area conditions. Two categories of information were gathered: the environmental parameter (i.e., solar intensity, relative humidity, soil temperature, and air temperature), as well as the growth parameter of capsicum plants. A mathematical dynamic model using mass and heat energy balance equations inside the greenhouse for three consecutive days to predict the inside microclimate condition was simulated using the Simulink MATLAB software. For predicting the microclimate condition inside the Greenhouse, the input data were taken for this model such as solar radiation, air temperature, relative humidity, and wind speed and calculated the inside microclimate condition output data, then compared with the actual inside microclimate condition. The results of this model would help monitor and provide ideal conditions, which in turn can help in crop cultivation to help plant growth and development.
