Co-Designing the Tool Surface with the Agent Loop
Year: 2026
Type: software
Abstract: Reproduction capsule for "Co-Designing the Tool Surface with the Agent Loop: Efficiency and Feasibility in Agentic Design Automation" (IEEE TCAD, 2026). This capsule reproduces all paper tables (Tables V–IX and supplementary analyses) from pre-collected per-run trace files. No LLM API key, no Ptolemy II installation, and no Java are required. Running python reproduce_tables.py reads 1,260 main evaluation traces and 99 cross-environment traces (Verilog/RTL, SystemC, Simulink) and writes the LaTeX table sources to /results/tables/ and JSON summaries to /results/results/. The run script installs all dependencies automatically via pip. The artifact includes the Ptolemy MCP server source, the full evaluation harness, and all pre-collected traces needed to verify every quantitative claim in the paper.
