Abstract: This article sets out the pedagogical and psychological foundations, methodological approaches, and effective techniques for forming primary school students' notions of drawing in general education schools. It analyses the influence of visual arts activity at the primary stage of education on the aesthetic, creative, and intellectual development of the student's personality. It also demonstrates methods of developing observation, imagination, compositional thinking, and colour sensitivity in the process of drawing.
