Abstract: This article provides an in-depth analysis of the psychological and pedagogical aspects of the process of drawing from nature in fine arts lessons. In particular, it gives a scientific account of the role of such important cognitive processes as observation, thinking, and perception in students' artistic activity. Creating an image from nature not only develops drawing skills but also enhances the individual's capacity for thinking, aesthetic taste, imagination, and level of understanding of reality. The article sets out the interrelation of these processes, the mechanisms of their development, and their practical significance in the educational process.
