Abstract: This article studies the introduction of Origanum tyttanthum L. (small-flowered mountain basil) in the Samarkand oasis, the content of the main bioactive components (carvacrol, γ-terpinene, o-cymene, β-caryophyllene and α-terpineol) in its essential oil, and its pharmacological significance. The results of GC–MS analysis showed that the phytochemical composition of the plant changes in accordance with environmental conditions and that the introduction process serves to increase the content of bioactive substances. The results of the study are of great importance for improving the quality of medicinal raw materials and creating natural preparations used in the pharmaceutical industry.
