Abstract: This article provides an in-depth analysis of the theoretical and practical foundations of forming compositional thinking in students during drawing classes. It elucidates the important place that composition occupies in fine art education and its significance in developing learners' aesthetic taste, creative thinking, and visual thinking. The article analyses the methodological approaches, teaching methods, didactic tools, and pedagogical conditions for forming compositional skills through drawing classes. It also substantiates ways of activating students' creative activity through interactive methods, problem situations, and practical exercises.
