Abstract: GenusIlyoplaxStimpson, 1858 Type species. Ilyoplax tenella Stimpson, 1858 (by monotypy). Gender of genus feminine. Remarks. Davie and Naruse (2010) have discussed the challenge with Ilyoplax, noting that the genus as presently defined is clearly polyphyletic, with several distinct lineages. They indicated that a detailed taxonomic revision is required (see also Ng et al. 2008: 235).
