A Wireless Charging Station for Batteries of High Ground Clearance Electric Vehicle using Solar-Energy

Year: 2026
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: The growing popularity of electric vehicles poses significant challenges including peak demand stress to conventional grid-dependent charging infrastructure, and elevated carbon emissions. Wireless power transfer (WPT) technology has surfaced as a viable solution for automated and efficient electric vehicle (EV) charging. The wireless power transmission system uses magnetic induction between transmitter and receiver coils, is the most advanced technology. This prevents the stipulation for physical connectors or wires, providing an effortless and seamless charging practice for electric vehicle users. Here, a solar-powered wireless charging station for high ground clearance as well as normal ground clearance of EV is proposed. Solar panels capture sunlight from sunrays and turn it into photonic current. Then finally it converts to electrical power, which is then stored in batteries for direct use. This renewable energy source makes sure that we can keep using it. The proposed system supports static wireless charging for parked high ground clearance as well as normal ground clearance EVs. Our approach utilizes wireless technology to improve access to charging stations and minimize the deterioration linked to traditional plug-in techniques. Contact Surface, wear and tear will be discarded. The system architecture, power electronic interfaces, wireless charging topology, and control methodologies are focused on this paper. Simulation-based analysis illustrates efficient DC bus voltage management, enhanced renewable energy consumption, and less grid reliance. The main purpose is to aim high ground clearance deficits of magnetic coupling between receiver and transmitter coils. The suggested infrastructure provides a sustainable and scalable alternative for future high ground clearance vehicle. It is also applicable to charging networks for normal ground clearance electric vehicle.
