A Novel Biocompatible Magnetic Nickel Nanoparticle-Based Nanocarrier for Potential Application in Promoting Plant Growth

Type: preprint
Abstract: Herein, we report the synthesis of BSA coated Ni-NPs. The protein-coated NPs were employed as a nanocarrier (delivering magic shots of nutrients) where loading of metal ions (Fe2+, Cu2+, Mn2+, Mg2+, K+, Ca2+) and their subsequent release is established, as illustrated in Scheme 1. UV-Vis spectrophotometric and ICP-OES investigation revealed the effectiveness of the nanocarrier in not just loading but release of the metal ions. Further, we emphasize loading of metal ions as well as release of the metal ions equally and that’s where our vision lies to load the metal ions to the carrier and thereby, releasing them to the deserving site; choosing a biofriendly carrier. Our results have shown the potential of the nanocarrier towards soil fortification by typically monitoring the growth patterns of different plant species. The day-to-day observation of plant growth in the presence of nanocarrier revealed the effectiveness of the nanocarrier towards
