A Data-Driven Study on Color-Semantic Spatial Mapping and Kansei Computing in Heritage Cultural Tourism Spaces

Year: 2026
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: To address the insufficient linkage between objective quantification and subjective perception in the study of color in heritage cultural tourism spaces, this paper takes the Pengjialong Historic District in Jingdezhen as a case study and develops a data-driven framework for color-semantic mapping. K-means clustering was employed to extract HSV color features from spatial samples, while the Semantic Differential (SD) method was used to obtain participants’ kansei evaluations. Multiple linear regression was further applied to examine the effects of integrated color parameters on five kansei semantic dimensions, namely antiquity, comfort, harmony, tranquility, and visual impressiveness. The results indicate that saturation and value are the key factors influencing kansei semantic cognition in heritage spaces. The study provides a useful reference for color optimization and cultural tourism scene-making in heritage spaces.
