HUST-MIND: Huazhong University of Science and Technology Mandarin Intracranial Neural Dataset

Abstract: The Huazhong University of Science and Technology Mandarin Intracranial Neural Dataset (HUST-MIND) was collected at Tongji Hospital, affiliated with Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The dataset contains stereo-electroencephalography (SEEG) recordings from ten subjects with drug-resistant epilepsy while they performed a reading-aloud task involving 48 Mandarin monosyllabic words. Each subject contributed approximately 1,920 trials (48 words × 40 repetitions). The dataset can be used to reproduce the main experimental results reported in SACM: SEEG-Audio Contrastive Matching for Chinese Speech Decoding.HUST-MIND provides preprocessed SEEG data, corresponding labels, preprocessed synchronized speech recordings, and HuBERT features required to reproduce the methods described in the paper.
