Clinical Research on Homoeopathy in Metabolic and Endocrine Disorders: A Scoping Review
Year: 2026
Type: other
Abstract: This scoping review aims to systematically identify, map and characterize the available clinical research on homoeopathic interventions in metabolic and endocrine disorders. The review will examine the range of metabolic and endocrine conditions investigated, study designs, participant characteristics, homoeopathic interventions, comparators, outcome measures, reported clinical findings, safety reporting, geographical distribution, publication status and major evidence gaps. The review will follow established methodological guidance for scoping reviews and will be reported in accordance with the PRISMA Extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR). Bibliographic databases and relevant clinical-trial registries will be searched using predefined eligibility criteria and prespecified search strategies. At the time of this registration, the review protocol and eligibility framework have been developed and the frozen PubMed/MEDLINE Search v1.0 has been validated, yielding 283 records without PubMed search warnings or filters, with all 10 prespecified sentinel records present. Formal eligibility screening, data charting and evidence synthesis have not commenced. This registration prospectively records the planned review methods before formal study selection and data extraction.
