Abstract: Hardware configuration, field workflow and open-source software used by the Seattle Aquarium's Coastal Climate Resilience (CCR) team for standardized benthic imaging surveys with a small, modular remotely operated vehicle (BlueROV2) in temperate kelp forests. Includes two Windows desktop applications, ROV Flight Operations (field operations, navigation, telemetry health and transect extraction) and ROV Imagery Processing (photo import, RAW development and telemetry-annotated video), the mcap_to_csv transect extractor, ArduSub Lua scripts, a lighting-control subsystem, a printable field log, and the code and data behind the associated survey-methods manuscript.
