elm-interpreter-fork: multidimensional data model (XModel) and array evaluation for elm-interpreter, calculation engine of elm-foldbook
Year: 2024
Type: other
Abstract: Fork of Leonardo Taglialegne's elm-interpreter (an interpreter for Elm, written in Elm), extendedby Luca Erzegovesi as the calculation engine of elm-foldbook, a multidimensional spreadsheet prototype for teaching and research in corporate finance.Original contribution in this fork: the multidimensional data model XModel (datasets with named dimensions, DataArray values, named ranges, array operations; src/XModel.elm, src/TypesXModel.elm, src/XModelSample.elm), parsers for cell values and range names in formulas (src/XParser.elm, src/FormulaParser.elm), financial functions (src/Financial.elm), and the extension of the interpreter's values, environment, kernel and evaluator to multidimensional arrays (src/Kernel.elm, src/Eval/Expression.elm, src/Eval/Module.elm and related modules).By git blame, about 7,100 of the 11,900 lines in src/ are by L. Erzegovesi; the Elm parser, evaluator and code generation of elm/core are Taglialegne's work.
