Abstract: Attempts to vaginal delivery on scars uterus are becoming more common in obstetricalpractice. Despite this, few studies have been devoted to the uterine test in Benin. Thus weconducted this cross-sectional, descriptive, prospective study over a six-month period at theAbomey-Calavi-Sô-Ava hospital for all pregnant women who had a cesarean section duringthe last delivery. The aim was to determine the frequency and describe the maternal-fetalprognosis of vaginal deliveries. From February 1st to July 31st, 2016, we carried out 61uterines tests out of a total of 174 deliveries in the patients carrying an uni-cicatricial uterus isa frequency of 35,06% of the cases. The success rate of the uterine test was 62.30%. Thecauses of failure of the trial were dominated by stationary dilation, acute fetal distress andobstructed labor. The maternal morbidity was dominated by a case of uterine rupture. We didnot notice any maternal death. Newborns from the low pathway had a better prognosis. Theuni-cicatricial uteri appear more and more like normal uteri as evidenced by the low mortalityand morbidity rates of uterine tests.Keys words: uterus scar, uterine test, childbirth, prognosis.
