Abstract: This study discusses the Influence of Emotional Intelligence on Social Adaptation of Grade XI Students of SMA Negeri 2 Bogor. The objectives of this study are (1) To determine the level of emotional intelligence of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Bogor City, (2) To determine the level of social adaptation of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Bogor, (3) To determine the influence of emotional intelligence on social adaptation of grade XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Bogor. This study used quantitative research with a correlational method. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with a total of 70 students. The instrument used was a Likert scale questionnaire to measure emotional intelligence and social adaptation. The results of the study showed that the coefficient of determination (R2) value was 0.127, which means that emotional intelligence contributed to the influence of social adaptation by 12.7%. Based on a simple linear regression test, a significance value (p) of 0.002 was obtained, indicating that emotional intelligence had a significant effect on social adaptation. This finding proves that the higher the level of emotional intelligence, the higher the social adaptation of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Bogor.
