Abstract: How does learning motivation affect students' learning achievement in pesantren-based Madrasah Aliyah in Ogan Ilir? This study analyzed the direction, significance, and magnitude of learning motivation's contribution to students' learning achievement in pesantren-based madrasah. The study used a quantitative ex post facto approach with a survey method. The sample consisted of 92 students from three pesantren-based Madrasah Aliyah, and the data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed that learning motivation has a positive and significant effect on learning achievement (Y = -8.372 + 0.857X). The correlation coefficient (R) was 0.874, and the coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.764, meaning that learning motivation explains 76.4% of the variance in learning achievement, while 23.6% is influenced by other factors. The F-test (291.465) and t-test (17.072) results with a significance of less than 0.001 indicate the rejection of H0?. These findings confirm that high learning motivation consistently improves students' academic achievement within the pesantren-based Madrasah Aliyah environment. This study enriches Islamic education literature, strengthens quantitative methodologies in pesantren contexts, and serves as a practical basis for formulating madrasah quality improvement strategies.
