Abstract: In recent years, interest in the problem of hyperuricemia and related diseases has increased. A special place is occupied by asymptomatic hyperuricemia. The article discusses the pathophysiological mechanisms of the influence of asymptomatic hyperuricemia on the development of cardiovascular diseases, in particular, proatherogenic processes, subclinicalinflammation, endothelial dysfunction, oxidative stress, plaque formation, and vascular calcification. Non-medicinal methods of correction are considered, which are primarily related to lifestyle, namely nutrition, physical activity, etc. The effect of pharmacotherapy of hyperuricemia, namely the role of xanthine oxidase inhibitors: allopurinol and febuxostat, in reducingcardiovascular risk was analyzed. A consensus on the management of patients with hyperuricemia and high cardiovascular risk is presented.
