Efektivitas Penambahan Molase pada Pakan Komersial Terhadap Laju Pertumbuhan Ikan Gurami (Osphronemus goramy)

Type: article
Abstract: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of adding molasses to commercial feed on the growth rate of giant gourami (Osphronemus goramy) and to identify the most effective dosage. The study was conducted over 30 days using an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of four treatments and three replicates. The treatments were P1 (10 ml molasses/100 g feed), P2 (20 ml molasses/100 g feed), P3 (30 ml molasses/100 g feed), and P4 (control without molasses). The results showed that the highest average absolute weight growth (0.70 g) and specific growth rate (1.30%/day) were achieved with treatment P2, while the highest absolute length growth was observed in treatment P1 (0.37 cm). However, statistical analysis using ANOVA for absolute weight yielded a significance value of 0.733 (> 0.05), and the Kruskal-Wallis test for absolute length yielded a significance value of 0.292 (> 0.05); thus, variations in molasses dosage did not have a statistically significant effect on the growth of giant gourami (Osphronemus goramy) juveniles.
