Abstract: This paper examines a probabilistic comparison between an unguided-origin hypothesis and a Creator hypothesis for explaining selected physical parameters associated with a life-permitting universe. Published discussions of fine-tuning are used to construct approximate sensitivity estimates for selected parameters, supplemented by conservative assumptions for additional Standard Model parameters. Under the assumptions adopted in this model, the resulting unguided likelihood is estimated to be extremely small, with the cosmological constant providing the strongest individual contribution. A Creator is defined as a cognitive process possessing sufficient capacity and intent to specify the relevant physical conditions, and the corresponding conditional likelihood is assumed to approach unity. These assumptions generate a large likelihood ratio favoring the Creator hypothesis within the proposed model. The calculation should therefore be interpreted as conditional on the adopted parameter ranges, probability distributions, independence assumptions, and definition of the competing hypotheses rather than as a model-independent probability of cosmic origins. The analysis is also discussed in relation to the Indeterminate Null framework and its proposed treatment of the cosmological constant.
