Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Siswa dan Guru melalui Edukasi Platform Kerja Freelance Digital di SMA IRA Medan

Abstract: The rapid growth of the digital economy has opened vast opportunities through gig economy platforms, yet high school students and teachers often lack the digital literacy and skills needed to capitalize on these prospects productively. This community service program aimed to empower the economic potential of students and teachers at SMA IRA Medan by delivering education and technical training on digital freelance platforms integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Learning tools. The methodology comprised three main stages: pre-implementation (need analysis, module synthesis, and institutional coordination), implementation (interactive seminar, live demonstration of AI tools, and hands-on portfolio creation workshops), and evaluation (pre-test/post-test analysis and mentoring). The activity took place at SMA IRA Medan on September 30, 2026, involving 40 participants consisting of students and teachers. The results demonstrated a significant increase in participant understanding, rising from an average of 23.1% in the pre-test to 88.8% in the post-test, an increase of 65.7%. Furthermore, 87.5% of participants successfully created active profiles and digital portfolios on platforms such as Sribulancer and Projects.co.id. This initiative successfully fostered a digital entrepreneurship mindset, equipping students and teachers with monetizable skills to support sustainable economic independence.
