Abstract: Background of the study: Cervical cancer is one of the reproductive health issues that can be prevented through early detection with Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) examination. The low level of knowledge among women of reproductive age regarding VIA examination can be a barrier to early detection. Objective of the study: To determine the effect of leaflet media on the knowledge of women’s reproductive age (WRA) about VIA examination as an early detection method for cervical cancer at Sedayu II Health Center in 2026. Methodology of the study: This study used a quantitative design with a pre-experimental design and a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The study population was all WRA women in the working area of Sedayu II Health Center, totaling 4,366 people. The sample consisted of WRA women in the Sedayu II Health Center area who were using contraception on Wednesdays and were selected using an accidental sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires administered before and after education through leaflet media. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Wilcoxon test. Results of the study: Before being given the leaflet media, most respondents had low knowledge levels, totaling 21 respondents (70%). After being given the leaflet media, most respondents had good knowledge levels, totaling 29 respondents (96.7%). The Wilcoxon test showed a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05). This indicates a significant difference between knowledge before and after the leaflet media was provided. Conclusion: There is a significant effect of leaflet media on the knowledge of women of reproductive age (WRA) about VIA examination as an early detection method for cervical cancer at Sedayu II Health Center in 2026. Leaflet media can be used as one of the educational media to improve WRA women's knowledge about VIA examination.
