Abstract: This study aims to examine the development, conceptual structure, and scholarly relationships of the academic literature on authenticity in gastronomy tourism using bibliometric methods. Data were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC), and 154 publications meeting the predefined eligibility criteria were included in the analysis. VOSviewer 1.6.20 was used to construct and visualize bibliometric networks. The analyses examined annual publication trends, author keyword co-occurrence, and citation relationships at the institution, author, journal, and document levels. The findings revealed a marked increase in publications after 2019, with the highest publication counts recorded in 2024 and 2025. Keyword analysis identified 32 keywords grouped into five clusters, highlighting cultural heritage, destination marketing and branding, local identity, sustainability, rural development, local food, perceived authenticity, and tourist satisfaction as prominent research themes. Citation networks at the institution, author, and journal levels exhibited a multi-cluster structure, while the studies by Kim et al. (2009) and Ellis et al. (2018) emerged as particularly prominent at the document level. Overall, authenticity in gastronomy tourism represents a multifaceted research field that has developed around diverse themes and scholarly actors. The study is expected to contribute to a better understanding of the current structure of the literature and to inform future research directions.
