Abstract: Mild anemia in adolescent girls remains a common health problem due to insufficient iron intake, irregular eating patterns, and blood loss during menstruation. This condition can cause fatigue, weakness, and decreased concentration in learning. One non-pharmacological effort that can be done to help increase hemoglobin levels is by consuming dates because they contain iron, folic acid, vitamins, and minerals that play a role in the formation of red blood cells. This study aims to determine the effect of administering dates in increasing HB levels in adolescent girls with mild anemia at SMA Negeri 2 Perbaungan. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample size of 26 adolescent girls with mild anemia. Hemoglobin levels were measured before and after administering dates. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed that before the date fruit intervention, all respondents had mild anemia, as many as 26 respondents (100.0%). After being given the date fruit intervention, the majority of respondents (24 respondents (92.3%) did not experience anemia, while 2 respondents (7.7%) still experienced mild anemia. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test obtained a Z value of -5.099 with a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that there was an effect of administering dates in treating mild anemia in adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 2 Perbaungan in 2026. Date fruit administration was effective in increasing hemoglobin levels and helping treat mild anemia in adolescent girls. It is hoped that adolescent girls will consume dates regularly as an alternative to help increase hemoglobin levels and prevent mild anemia.
