Abstract: This aim of this research is to investigate the impact of green human resource management (GHRM) practices, including green recruitment, green training, and green compensation on the perceived environmental performance. This study determined that the use of green human resource management practices had a favorable impact on perceived environmental performance. This study’s significant aspect lies in its attention to the previously overlooked mediator of green behavior. The data was collected from 250 respondents through a Google-based survey using non-probability convenience sampling. SPSS 26 and Smart PLS 3.0 were employed to analyze the data. The results revealed a positive impact of green HRM practices on perceived environmental performance. Moreover green behavior also plays a mediating impact among green HRM practices and perceived environmental performance. This study suggests that policymakers and senior executives should take a significant step to foster a sense of accountability among employees regarding environmental performance and GHRM standards.
