Abstract: This study uses strategic cognition and resource-based theory to look at how environmentally aware top executives are and how that affects the economic and environmental performance of manufacturing companies. It focuses on the role that green technology innovation capability plays in this relationship. Using data from A-share manufacturing listed companies (2009-2022), it finds that executives' environmental awareness boosts both performances, enhanced by green technology innovation. This reveals the significance of environmental concepts in management and guides environmental strategy formulation. It urges enterprises to invest in green innovation for green transformation and sustainable development, aiding a modern green industrial system.
