Abstract: ABSTRACT This research paper delves into the transformative impact of social media on brand marketing, with a particular focus on the beauty, fashion, and lifestyle sectors. It outlines the gradual transition from traditional marketing channels such as print and television to interactive, content-driven platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. By analyzing the digital strategies of prominent brands including Rare Beauty, Kay Beauty by Katrina Kaif, Bastian by Shilpa Shetty, Huda Beauty, and the emerging Indian jewelry label Lufiténo, the study explores how these brands effectively use social media to connect with modern audiences. The paper investigates key components of digital-first marketing such as influencer collaborations, user-generated content, real-time community engagement and the rise of social commerce. Through data-driven insights and brand case studies, it highlights the tangible benefits of these strategies—such as improved customer loyalty, higher conversion rates and broader brand visibility—while also addressing the challenges marketers face in maintaining authenticity and standing out in a saturated digital space. Ultimately, the research concludes that today's consumers are drawn to content that is authentic, engaging and visually appealing, reinforcing the idea that social media has become an indispensable tool for building strong and lasting brand identities in a highly competitive market.
