Abstract: In this paper, profitability of two different strategies and business models grocery retailers: Discounters and Supermarkets/Neighborhood Stores are discussed and compared. For the last several decades, Discounter business model became very popular and successful. This innovative Discounter model is successfully implemented and planned to further develop by several Georgian grocery retail chains.
