Abstract: This is an accepted article with a DOI pre-assigned that is not yet published. This article examines the evolution of digital trust signals in influencer marketing, proposing a specialized Influencer Marketing Verification Badge that extends beyond traditional identity confirmation to encompass professional competency, ethical standards, and marketing effectiveness. Drawing on Narrative Transportation Theory and Trust Transfer Theory, this conceptual framework addresses critical gaps in current social media verification systems through a three-dimensional assessment model: (1) Professionalism and Business Competence, evaluating background analysis, professional reliability, and client portfolio performance; (2) Influencer Expertise and Content Excellence, assessing creative capabilities, audience quality, and performance metrics; and (3) Social Responsibility, Ethics, and Professional Conduct, examining communication skills, transparency practices, and inclusive content creation. The proposed verification system functions as "micro-visual storytelling," creating narrative compression that instantly communicates complex professional narratives through a single visual symbol. This specialized verification would benefit brands through reduced partnership risks and improved campaign ROI, enable creators to achieve premium positioning and higher partnership rates, and provide consumers with enhanced transparency for confident decision-making. The framework represents the first comprehensive multi-dimensional approach to influencer verification, offering a practical pathway toward more transparent and effective creator economy ecosystems while elevating industry professionalism and promoting ethical marketing practices.
