Abstract: Traditional history education frequently relies on passive teaching methods such as lectures and rote memorization, which often lead to disengagement and superficial understanding among students. To address these limitations, this study presents an AI-powered History Tutor that reimagines history education through personalized, interactive, and student-centered learning experiences. Leveraging cutting-edge large language models (LLMs) like OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 and Google’s Gemini, the system delivers adaptive, real-time instruction enriched with multimedia content, gamification, and dynamic feedback. Designed as a web-based application, the tutor integrates natural language processing (NLP), image interpretation, and topic classification to support varied learning modalities. Key features include personalized chat-based tutoring, quizzes, image-based historical analysis, and interactive storytelling, all aligned with pedagogical principles such as active learning and critical thinking.
