Year: 2024
Type: report
Abstract: This report examines both the potential benefits and risks of digital supply chain solutions for the business and human rights agenda, focusing on their impact on workers and trade unions. The research methodology includes case studies of three digital supply chain solutions EcoVadis, Sedex, and Prewave each representing different levels of AI integration, from a rather low tech approach, over hybrid systems to fully AI powered platforms. Additionally, the study draws on academic literature, public data sources, and interviews with stakeholders to assess the role of digital solutions in shaping business and human rights practices.
