Abstract: Let’s consider one possible way to introduce prefixes, suffixes, and endings. The methodological approach is determined, on the one hand, by the interaction of all morphemes in a word, and on the other, by the similarity of the word-formation functions of prefixes and suffixes and the unique grammatical function of endings. Taking this into account, the most appropriate approach is to use a word-formation task, during which students are presented with a group of cognate words formed using specific morphemes and visually understand their role.
